  1. Please Please Me is a tough album in the Beatles catalog for me. While there are undeniably great songs on here, the level of brilliance displayed on subsequent albums isn't quite consistent yet. Songs like I Saw Her Standing There and Please Please Me are great tastes of what's to come and the songs themselves are enjoyable throughout and /5(72).

  4. O'Boy - "Please Please Me" has never sounded better to these old ears. Powerful. Crisp, wonderfully well-balanced. An audio treat. The last paragraph in this CD's enclosed booklet states " because the twin-track tapes of 'Love Me Do,' and 'P.S. I Love You' had been discarded, the original stereo vinyl LP presented them in fake stereo/5().

Please Please Me was released as a monaural (mono) LP album on the Parlophone label in the UK on 22 March , and has remained on UK catalogue continuously since The stereo version was released on 26 April, over a month after the mono version. Release formats: Vinyl (12″) record (stereo and mono).

The Beatles may have played notoriously rough dives in Hamburg, but the only way you could tell that on their first album was how the constant gigging turned the group into a tight, professional band that could run through their set list at the drop of a hat with boundless energy.
