  4. This 4-CD, track compilation is a frustratingly mixed attempt to enshrine its legacy. There are lots of great sides here: all the Shangri-Las and Dixie Cups hits, many of their rarities, one-shots by The Ad Libs, Jelly Beans, Butterflies, and Tradewinds, and cool rarities by Bessie Banks, Dee Dee Warwick, Evie Sands, Ellie Greenwich, the Soul Brothers, Cathy Saint, Linda Jones, and Andy Kim.

  6. The sound quality on most tracks is good with only a couple that have distortion on them. There is a very informative 20 page colour booklet that ha loads of pics and labels shots. Overall, a great compilation (this is not a re-issue of the 3cd set 'The Red Bird Story' SNAJ CD). Highly recommended. 10//5(13).
